Brand Refresher: The Joan Schick Blanket Project

Branding

We are delighted and excited to share the new and improved brand identity for our inspiring client, who founded the Joan Schick Blanket Project.

The Joan Schick Blanket Project was created with the goal of providing every baby leaving the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, with a beautiful, handmade crocheted or knitted blanket. Founder Bobbie Rubin started this project in memory of her mother, Joan Schick.

Our focus was on brand development including the logo design, business card, letterhead and envelope, tri-fold brochure, a postcard, and website. This was a very fun project for our team and we are honored to be a part of such a heart-felt organization.

We developed a charming, juvenile logo concept creating a memorable icon that represents the organization and the sweet babies it was created for. We chose soft pastel colors and used the silhouette of a heart to play off of the idea of a ball of yarn and knitting needles. A pink and blue polka dot pattern were added, a perfect final touch to this adorable logo.

The print materials consist of stationary to write personal thank you notes, postcards that get delivered to the parents and newborn with the blanket, brochures to be handed out to anyone interested in participating or who want to learn about the project, and business cards to contact the organization for more information.

It has been a very rewarding experience being involved with an organization that has so much meaning and we are overjoyed with how happy our client is with the new company branding.

We wish the Joan Schick Blanket Project the best of luck and look forward to continue working together in the future.
