Responsive Web Design
Development

Rutgers LEED is stepping into the future of resource conservation, so they needed a website that not only showcases their commitment to the development of sustainability partners, but also allows users to easily find certification materials on-the-go.

The new website would also be featured on several kiosks outside the new green buildings on campus.

How We Did It

When we build responsive websites, we make sure the content and design effectively scales down for mobile devices – but in this case, we had to make sure the design would scale up and look great on large outdoor kiosks too. We also wanted to center this new website on the concepts of community progress, green operations, and development for a greener world.

Clean & Simple

We kept this design clean by minimizing copy on the page – even the menu takes advantage of simple icons instead of text. Boxes of varying sizes feature photos of the project and design elements in shades of Rutgers Red; When clicked, each item displays explanatory text. Select the icons at the top of the page, and the boxes rearrange themselves in a custom animation to tell another story.

Eco-Friendly

Our final environmentally conscious touch is that this lean, minimalist design uses as little battery as possible, no matter which device you use to view it.
